Markus Solbach - Head Advisor - Europe Region
Born in Dormagen, Germany, and later moved to the United States at the age of four, which is where I first fell in love with baseball. After returning to Germany, I developed through the German youth baseball system before moving to Melbourne, Australia to play club baseball and continue advancing my career.
In addition to club baseball in Australia, I pitched three seasons in the Australian Baseball League, gaining valuable experience against high-level international competition.
In 2011, I signed professionally with the Minnesota Twins, beginning my professional career. After several seasons in their organization, I spent half a season in independent baseball before signing with the Arizona Diamondbacks, where I played a further three seasons.
I later joined the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, working my way up to the Triple-A level from 2019 through 2021. In 2022, I competed at both the Double-A and Triple-A levels within the Detroit Tigers organization.
Unfortunately, Tommy John surgery brought my playing career to an end. Since then, I have transitioned into coaching while continuing to play and contribute to the growth of baseball back in Germany, using my professional experience to help develop the next generation of athletes.
