Who we are

College Baseball Recruiting (CBR) was built on one simple belief: every player deserves an honest, clear, and fair opportunity to pursue college baseball. We exist to bring integrity, transparency, and real-world experience into a recruiting process that is often confusing, overwhelming, and filled with misinformation. Our mission is to educate, guide, and advocate for student-athletes and their families so they can make confident, informed decisions about their future.

CBR was founded by Lavelle Morgan, a former professional pitcher, college athlete, coach, and long-time associate scout who has helped place more than 600 players into college baseball programs at every level. With decades inside the game, Lavelle understands what college coaches and scouts truly look for—and more importantly, what they don’t. That knowledge is the foundation of everything we do.

We work with high school players, junior college athletes, and college transfers, providing a clear recruiting roadmap built around each athlete’s ability, goals, and academic path. From video evaluation and honest player assessments to direct guidance on communication with college coaches, our focus is not hype—it’s truth. We don’t sell dreams. We build real opportunities.
